WHY SO COMPETITIVE: CONGRESSIONALLY MANDATED CEILING

We’re launching a series called “Why is the Academy so competitive?”

Our intent is that you learn insider information about the process, so you can use it to your advantage.

Why is the Academy so competitive?

Answer 1: Congressionally mandated ceiling.

Congress mandates Academies’ enrollment to be less than 4,400 students. (600 max for CGA/USMMA)

This means, as the US population doubled since 1950, and demand for college skyrocketed, the number of Academy slots remained the same.

So what’s the impact?

Low supply + High demand = competition 👆

Especially when the prize is monetarily free.

So how does this help you, the applicant?

It urges you to take this application process very seriously. Use every tip, webinar, interview advice…heed every word. Seek knowledge, seek coaches, seek the upper edge. Because everything you do to outwork your peers, matters.
