When we enter the Academy, we accept the risk that we won’t receive our career preference.

At the end of the day, the military decides our career field, even though they receive our input.

Be the candidate that knows multiple career preferences. This sends the message of service over career.

For example, “I ultimately would love to fly, but if I can’t get a pilot slot, I would enjoy serving as an Intelligence officer.”
