“First Shirt/First Snow” is an annual tradition at The Air Force Academy that takes place the evening of the first snowfall. The custom involves freshmen trying to throw the cadet First Sergeant (known as the ‘First Shirt’) into the snow. In every squadron, there are about 40 freshmen, but only 1 First Shirt, typically a junior.
There are slightly different requirements for each ROTC fitness test. Here’s a table for what is required for each. The CFA works for USMA, USNA, USAFA, and USMMA. However, all others vary slightly. Keep this in mind!
