Fun Fact: Vicente Lim, the first Asian-American to Graduate from a Service Academy

Vicente Lim was one of the first Asian Americans to graduate from a Service Academy.

A Filipino American and U.S. national from the Philippines, Vincente Lim graduated from West Point’s class of 1914. He endured intense racism at West Point; however, even with a language barrier, Lim not only graduated but excelled in the classroom, fencing, and as a sharpshooter.
