John McCain: Naval Academy grad, U.S. Senator, Presidential nominee, and Vietnam War POW.
The son and grandson of two 4-star Navy Admirals, John McCain graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958. As a midshipman, he excelled on the boxing team and his humanities classes, but interestingly, due to his struggles with math and run-ins with upperclassmen, graduated 5th from the bottom of his class (894 out of 899).
